Microsoft Central and Eastern European Outside Counsel Summit

The Summit focused on topics which were interesting for everyone supporting Microsoft in legal matters. Topics covered included a look at new trends in the IT industry, especially cloud computing, competition law and compliance, software licensing as well as upcoming reform of the data protection in Europe. Speakers from EMEA and from CEE HQ of Microsoft provided up-to-date guidance on company policies and gave participants first-hand information on the company’s future direction.

Mikheil Gogeshvili, a lawyer at MKD participated in the Summit which turned to be a very interesting legal event as well the fruitful venue for networking between Microsoft counsels form various jurisdictions of Central and Eastern Europe.

MKD acts as a legal counsel to Microsoft in Georgia from 2008, since establishment of Microsoft Georgia LLC. MKD provides ongoing Georgian law related advice on various legal and regulatory matters to Microsoft Georgia as well as Microsoft LCA (both Germany and the US).
