Newsletter I-II (January-February): Initiatives and legislative amendments for promoting business activities in Georgia


In accordance with the amendments any type of discrimination is prohibited during pre and post-contractual labour relations, including job vacancy announcement/recruitment process. Moreover, employer is obliged to inform the employee about the principle of equal treatment and include anti-discrimination provisions in the bylaws.
 
It is prohibited to terminate labour agreement or negatively treat the employee in case he or she files an application or complaint or cooperates with the relevant body in order to protect himself/herself from discrimination.
